Q: What connects you to the work you are doing at Anacostia Park?

A: “I feel connected to the work because it’s my home. I was raised East of the River, and it took me some time to appreciate the beauty and benefits of the Park. Once I had a clear understanding, I felt it was my mission to share love and respect for the Park with everyone I encountered. I enjoy introducing my community to the Park because it’s their home, too.”

Q: Do you have a favorite way you like to spend time outdoors?

A: “My favorite way to spend time outdoors is with family and friends BBQing and relaxing. I also use my time outdoors to reflect and meditate.”

Q: What are you looking forward to most about working with FoAP?

A: “I‘m looking forward to supporting the next generation of community leaders by providing Friends Corps members opportunities to learn and grow.”
